Laneige Fresh Calming Balancing Serum (80ml for ca. $38)
Argh, I have a love-hate relationship with this one. It's boring as hell, but it does kinda work in the whole "calming" department thanks to the lychee extract. The bottle is huge, and will last you longer than you can bare, but it might be something that you actually appreciate.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla ($22)
Yes, there are plenty of lip masks out there, but quite frankly, this one comes close to the top in my books. When I first tried the original pink version, I was like... "Yeah, that's alright", but over time, I truly feel in love with the product. It's thick and stays on for a good while, and my lips love it!
Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask (60ml for £17 from eBay)
Do you believe in miracles? Unfortunately, they happen so rarely that we often stop believing in their existence-- but they do exist, and this product is evidence of that fact. I have mixed feelings about sleeping mask in general-- aren't they just a slightly runnier option of a moisturiser? Unlike the original Laneige sleeping mask, this product is not runny at all. It is a proper cream -- blurring the line even further between a "sleeping mask" and a "moisturiser". But who cares? I don't...really. I put sleeping masks directly after serums-- bypassing a moisturiser-- but one can also put on the moisturiser, if one wants. Sleeping masks normally have to be layered. You apply one layer, then wait 15 min, apply the next layer. However, because this product is already creamy, my skin is satisfied even with one layer (and I have dry skin). It is a skin barrier strengthening mask with healing properties from Cica. Hydrating, creamy, caring. Ideal for dry and/or damaged skin. And it really does all of it-- crazy, right? I don't usually say this, but go buy one. It will last you for ages as well. You are welcome.
Laneige Cream Skin Refiner (full size 150ml for $19 on eBay)
I first came across this toner when @lottiegeorgina reviewed it on her IG account. I was intrigued. I love milky toners, they seem softer and more gentle on the skin, so I bought myself the 50ml mini size to try. It contains White Leaf Tea Water, which is rich in amino acids. It moisturises, soothes and strengthens the skin barrier, restoring your skin back to its healthy glory. It's watery but on the thicker side. It feels like diluted milk. Upon touch, it feels slightly silky, which makes your face feel softer instantly. It's a great toner, highly recommend. If you are thinking of buying it, buy it-- even if it's the 50ml size first.
Product review:
Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask (full size 25ml for $34, probably cheaper on eBay)
This is supposed to be a hydrating and de-puffing eye mask to be used overnight. It is rather liquid-y (second photo), and sinks so fast-- again, making you wonder where it went. Bottom line: this product is not for me. I don't feel any real hydration from it. I don't suffer from puffiness, so I would know about that. Let's just say, I use better products on a regular basis, and you can't wow me with this one.
Product review:
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (20g for $20)
Again, a super hyped product which you can literally see on every Instagrammer's beauty blog. So, what is this thing everyone raves about? It is a lip balm which forms a moisturizing protective film and Berry Mix Complex™, which is rich in Vitamin C to gently exfoliate dry flakes. It's a thick lip balm, kids! Oh, and you don't have to use it just at night. Alrighty, so yes, it is a good product, it hydrates the lips very well. However, my Avéne Lip Cream (which is cheaper, btw) does exactly that too and is of a similar consistency. There is a problem with this product: the smell is too synthetic and too strong. Personally, it doesn't bother me too much, but there are people who wouldn't like that. Plus, everything that smells so synthetically fruity makes me subconsciously a bit suspicious. I simply cannot take such a product too seriously in such a case. But enough with the thoughtful thoughts, the product is good, but I will most likely not repurchase because Avéne is simply cheaper and without that smell.
