Mizon Multi-Function Formula All in One Snail Repair Cream
75ml, heavy glass jar with a plastic lid, white watery consistency. The cream is not exactly new, it has been around for awhile. Popular product in Asia. Contains 92% of snail extract, which promotes skin repair, effectively resolving skin problems (no, it doesn't claim to resolve any of your other problems, people). As it is lighter in consistency, I use it as a day moisturiser. Pros: you get 75ml of product instead of the normal 50ml. The price is reasonable. It does moisturise, silky upon application, absorbs in seconds. Great before applying makeup. Cons: have I noticed any dramatic change? Probably not. The thing with skincare is that the change usually doesn't come from using one particular product, as you are probably using an array of different ones in your routine, and attributing "success" to one certainly would not be right. You need time to see a real difference. Would recommend? If you are after a light daily moisturiser, why not consider this? However, Korean and Western beauty brands have a lot of others to offer, albeit not all with a snail extract.
Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream (25ml)
This Korean Beauty favourite is the sister product to the All-in-One face cream we reviewed earlier. So if you want to cover yourself up in snail mucin, this is your chance. It hydrates, helps diminish the look of fine lines, and promotes the brightening of dark eye areas. Appropriate for all skin types. Light in texture. With Niacinamide. We love Korean Beauty. It is the world's most innovative, yet affordable (due to high competition). We like their serious yet generous approach. Try K-beauty, people!
Mizon Dust Clean Up Protect Cream (50ml)
Alright, it's like the most confusing name for a cream, isn't it? Like, what does it actually do? Well, this Korean cream actually protects against environmental pollutants. With 75% Marine Collagen, it shields skin from harmful environmental aggressors. Its gel-texture infuses skin with a nourishing blend of plant-based extracts including Olive and Jojoba Oils, resulting in a more even, smooth and supple surface texture. According to Mizon, it cleanses the skin and will make your skin pure and clean. It helps to get a smooth complexion. We personally don't find this cream extra nourishing. It feels different on the skin, not like a normal moisturiser. Like a shield-- but not in a bad way. You should use it as a day moisturiser, and it retails (if you can find it), for around $40.
Mizon Collagen Power Firming Enriched Cream (ca. $25) (Korean beauty)
Mizon claims that this is a product designed both for firming and hydration. According to Korean Queens, this cream "contain[s] 54% of collagen solution gives a superior skin firming effect while delivering deep hydration. Adenosine helps to improve skin elasticity effectively. It actively boosts the production of collagen to plump out skin and increases elasticity to prevent fine lines. This cream also delivers deep hydration throughout the skin for a smooth and soft finish. The copper tree Peptide-1 and palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 regenerate damaged skin tissues, creating a synergy effects of skin firming with 54% of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Also olive oil, camellia flower oil and evening primrose oil leave skin moisturized all day long". The cream is of light beige colour, creamy consistency. You feel how well-hydrating it is upon application. Often, firming creams are dehydrating or only mildly hydrating, so we really appreciate this cream's 2-in-1 effect. It's firming properties, however, were a bit difficult to ascertain-- we believe that there might be better creams on the market.
