Saturday Skin Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream (50ml for USD49)
For this price tag, I was expecting something very different. Instead, I got an average cream that should not cost more than USD7. I mean, the texture feels “meh” on the skin, and although it is not a bad product, I don’t find it to be that hydrating. This product is full of extracts and has an “exclusive” peptide formula, but only the price reflects that – not the actual quality.
Saturday Skin Rub-a-Dub Refining Peeling Gel (75ml for £22)
As you might know, I love The Body Shop Drops of Youth Peeling Gel. Within 15 seconds, your skin starts "flaking" picking up all the dirt, sebum etc. This Saturday Skin product works similarly. The brand states that it is "enhanced with natural papaya and pineapple enzymes, [which] helps to gently exfoliate, picking up impurities that cause the skin to look dull, resulting in a more refined, bright and firm visage. Ideal for evening out skin’s tone and texture while boosting firmness and elasticity, use this once or twice weekly and prepare for radiance". It is important that you use such products on dry skin. Furthermore, as this product is a lot milder than its TBS sister, you can rub your face in circular motion for a whole minute, before rinsing it off. Now comes the shocking part. I actually prefer this product over The Body Shop one because it doesn't leave my face squeaky clean, it just leaves it clean. This means that it doesn't remove all of the oils from the skin, and hence, I can actually use such a product twice a week (unlike TBS one which I was using once every two weeks). I have purchased the Dr G Brightening Peeling Gel (which is also mild and Korean-- 120g for $12 from eBay) in hope that it will be similar to the Saturday Skin one.
