(Makeup) Revolution Retro Luxe Kits (in Grandee)

For only £6, you get both a lip liner and a matte liquid lipstick. We love the pink colour, suits us well. The best part is that it is extremely long-wear. As we don't like matte lipsticks, we top it up with a bit of gloss and we love how it looks and how long it last. We highly recommend this product! Great value for money.

(Makeup) Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer (in C1 and C3)

Retailing only for €5 each, with 50 shades in the range-- is it worth it? Does it live up to its expectations? The brand promises us a full coverage matte concealer, which would not settle into fine lines and wrinkles. Longwearing. How can it all be possible for €5? Well, turns out, it is possible. We like this concealer, albeit, in our opinion, it is a full medium coverage (after 3-4 coats you can achieve full)-- it is buildable. Concealer is officially Jeffree Star approved and we are not one bit surprised. Get it. Get two. Get as many as your budget allows.

Makeup Revolution Pro HD (amplified 35 palette in Commitment)

For €20, you get 35 shades. Mix of mattes and shimmers, in neutral, cool and warm brown tones. Mostly chocolate brown tones, sometimes with golden hues. The palette is really a value of money, especially if you are after your "browns". Good pigmentation, good staying power. We recommend.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation (30ml)

This is a full coverage foundation. We cannot dispute that. If you are buying alcohol and want to look older than your actual age, this is exactly the foundation for that purpose. It makes your skin look old, textured, and wrinkly. You might not even get asked for an ID, which is a bonus. But seriously, this foundation is horrible. It settles into everything almost right from the start, even if you set it with powder (like the smile lines). Please stay far away. This foundation needs to be burned.

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter (in Liquid Champagne)

To many of you who use makeup, the following scenario might sound familiar: you put on a flawless base, like, literally perfect. And then, an evil monster comes along and destroys all of that. In this case, the evil monster is this product over here. Makeup Revolution tried to mimic Iconic London's Illuminator drops and failed. This product cannot and should not be used on top of a foundation. It simply eats the foundation away and creates an oily spat on your face. We have not tried mixing the drops with the foundation, maybe that works, but it definitely fails at its primary function.

(Makeup) Revolution Flawless Foils (€5.99)

We have the colour Unicorn Foil, which is a white-violet duo-chrome. It does come with a primer also, but we actually do not use as the colour is more than enough for us as is. It's a soft creamy foil, easily blends on top of any eyeshadow to give it that "wow" factor. We like to put it on top of pink eyeshadows especially. By the end of the day, you might just end up with a beautiful shimmer-glitter, but it's still beautiful. We are more than satisfied with this product. Especially at that price point.

Revolution Pro Full Coverage Concealer (£5)

I personally am not a big fan of squeeze out tubes for a concealer (although it is more hygienic). I bought shade C3, but it is too dark for a brightening under eye concealing. I should probably buy shade C1. I also think the texture is a lot thicker than the Makeup Revolution's highly acclaimed concealer (which is the same brand, of course)-- and I have concealed red blemishes with it successfully. I am attaching a photo of the "old" Makeup Revolution swatches: from left to right-- C1 old concealer; C3 old concealer and C3 new concealer (with a thicker texture). I think Revolution Makeup tried to stay true to the colour range as found in the old concealer range.

Revolution Pro Regeneration Palette Celestial (£8.00)

Alright, she is super pretty. You know, like those super pretty girls? But she is also rather "meh" inside? Yes, that type of girl. In the palette, the colours look like they can knock out anyone. But in reality, they really lack the punch. Now, just imagine the colour in the pan and significantly dilute it-- that's what you get on the lid. The formula does blend well, but it's not soft. I like using these colours as a transition or base, but a girl of my capabilities needs a punch!

Revolution Pro Brow Pomade in Blonde (€5.99)

Just like it's older sister (from Makeup Revolution-- same brand), this is a brow pomade for those who don't want to buy the more expensive one from ABH. This is the lightest colour, and personally, I think it will be too dark for a lot of light blonde girls. The formula has also changed. I personally think it has slightly become less pigmented than the older one, but it is also slightly more spreadable (not so spreadable like ABH, however). I actually need to use quite a bit of product, while, with the older version, it was the other way around (although the formula was a lot drier and needed to be warmed up on the hand first). But yeah, I am giving it to my mum anyway-- she has nothing to compare it to, so hopefully she will not complain.
