Rituals (Ritual of Karma) 50 Sun Protection Face Cream (50ml for €15.50)

This product alleges to have both UVA and UVB protection (and after the Purito situation, "alleges" is probably the right word). It's a relatively rich cream but to my surprise, doesn't leave my skin very oily looking. You do need to rub it in for a bit longer to avoid a white colouring, but otherwise, I have no complaints.

Rituals… Ritual of Namaste Velvety Smooth Cleansing Foam (125ml for 12.90EUR)

This is a cleansing cream that goes slightly foamy, but I find it weird it is called a “foam” when it is actually not really a foam. But apart from that slight wording issue, I have got absolutely no problem with this product. It is mild, but it is effective. Cleans the face well without stripping it, and it even cleans the brushes super well.

Rituals Elixir Collection Protecting Blow Dry Spray with Argan Oil & Shikakai (125ml for €12.50)

Rituals has recently expanded their hair care range, so when I was last in the store, I picked up the new blow dry spray. The product is enriched with a UV filter and Vitamin E, giving the hair elasticity, shine and flexibility. Argan Oil (vitamin E) and Shikakai also provide nourishment (Shikakai also strengthens roots). It's interesting: my mum really likes the smell. No surprise, she has this toilet air freshener that smells similarly. For that reason, I hate the smell. I am a bit disappointed with this product, to be honest. You need to use quite a bit of it, at least on my hair, to see and feel its impact. For my other products I have never used this much. Also, my hair is more dehydrated rather than dry (dehydration is the main concern, dryness is secondary), hence why this spray is not 100% suitable for me. Alcohol detan. is the second ingredient, while Argan Oil comes second to last. I guess, those of you who care about ingredients, this should tell you something. Overall, I will finish but won't repurchase.

Rituals Night Balm for the Hands (The Ritual of Dao)

This is the most nourishing and "heavy" hand cream offered by Rituals. I personally live in a very dry and cold climate, so finding a hand cream that does "the job" is always tough. Most creams are far too liquid-y and absorb too fast, leaving hands dry after 10 minutes. Not this cream. It is of a thick semi-white, semi-transparent consistency. It does not dry down within seconds, you might need a minute. But it does leave your hands nourished for a while. Pros: possibly the most nourishing cream I have found to date (and I have tried many). Gets the job done. Cons: for a hand cream, it is more expensive than the average. If you are a regular user of hand creams, you may use up the product rather quickly. Would recommend? Yes, if you are like me who has dry hands and you are tired of trying yet another disappointing hand cream, please try this.

Rituals Ritual of Sakura Soothing Hand Balm (70ml)

Rituals describes this product in the following way: "The Ritual of Sakura Hand Balm has been specially developed to soothe and soften dry hands. Your hands will feel soft and smooth. The natural ingredients of Rice Milk and Cherry ensure a delightful sweet and creamy aroma". It is a white, thicker cream. Leaves your hands well hydrated. We like it as our daily hand cream. Costs $17, which is slightly above average on the price scale. Nice scent.

Rituals Lip Service Moisture Lip Balm (12ml)

Beeswax, Karite, almond oil and Shea butter. Do you like your lips to feel nourished, or do you like them to feel like covered in oil? Well, unfortunately, this lip balm ensures the latter. For this reason, we do not recommend this product.

Rituals Ritual of Ayurveda Soothing Hand Balm (ca. $12)

With Sweet Almond Oil and Indian Rose. Supposed to soften and moisturise dry hands. Yes, after application, the hands do feel soft, but there is unexplainable gritty feel on the palms, which I am not enjoying. Plus, it's not super moisturising. We will stick with the other hand cream from Rituals instead, thank you.

Rituals... The Ritual of Sakura Softening Rice Scrub (full size 375g for £17.50)

I am rather picky with my body scrubs. It should actually scrub well-- and a lot of what is currently on the market, does not do that. So, how does this product perform and what is inside? First of all, when I check the ingredients of the full size product, the ingredients are completely different to the smaller size that I have. The full size product is a sugar scrub, while the one I have is a pumice scrub (no sugar). Weird, right? I will try to go into a Rituals Store to see what's actually up with that. Anyway, as I said-- mine is a pumice scrub, which means that you can do it on a wet body and it will not dissolve like sugar or salt would. The scrub particles are small, but there are many of them-- the feeling on the body is like microdermabrasion. It's fantastic! It is a very good scrub and leaves the body nice and soft. Oh, smells lovely too.

Rituals... Ritual of Sakura Body Cream (220ml for £19.50)

According to Rituals, this cream contains "nourishing properties of antioxidant Vitamin E and Centella Asiatica to leave skin silky, supple and smooth. Delivers a gentle fragrance of natural Rice Milk and Cherry, allowing you to experience a calmed, relaxed and restored body with a delicate scent". I really enjoy this body cream. The scent is delicate, not overpowering. The cream is of medium thickness-- has very good moisturisation properties, and sinks in reasonably fast (not immediately though). After that, I can just imagine lying down on soft fluffy cushions all day, carefree.
