Avene Cicalfate Lip Repair Balm (10ml for ca. €8, but in the US, it's $18, huh?)
Avene used to do the Cold Cream lip balm, which was absolutely magic for chapped lips. Can't say the same thing about Cicalfate. It's definitely not as good. Although it does help temporarily, over time, lips become even drier and even more chapped. No bueno.
Avene Extremely Rich Compensating Cream (50ml for $35 in US, £17 in the UK)
This won't be a long review. Do you have normal to dry skin? Well, this is a great cream for the winter, especially for night time, as it is a relatively thick. Reminds me slightly of the thick Nivea cream or La Mer. Yes, it has some dimethicone, but the product doesn't feel dimethiconey. It's very nourishing and soft. Contains beeswax, for those of you who are interested. Anyway, quick story short, a good product!
Product review:
Avène Cold Cream Lip Cream (15ml for $16)
It is "an ultra-rich, sheer lip cream [which] provides immediate remedy and protection against severely chapped, cracked lips. Nourishing formula restores comfort and leaves lips feeling smooth and soft". I personally would not say it is a "cream". It is really more a liquid balm, as it is thick. Little goes a long way. Great product. Doesn't feel greasy, but highly nourishing. Very very good.
Product review/ first impressions:
Avène Thermal Spring Water (150ml for $14 in US, while cheapest in Sweden is $6 (I bought for $10))
As ridiculous as it may sound, yes, this is water in a can with a spray dispenser. However, it is not just any water. "A naturally soothing source for sensitive skin since 1743, Avène Thermal Spring Water's unique composition is clinically shown by over 150 studies to calm, soothe and soften the skin. Ideal for red, sensitive or irritated skin and perfect for post-workout, travel, outdoor activities or to freshen up makeup". I have started using it only yesterday, but my face already craves it. It feels absolutely wonderful on the face-- like a breath of fresh air. My skin does get a bit more red so this "good boy" is phenomenal.
However, I have also read some reviews where people are saying that it has dried out their face. I personally have not experienced that (yet), but I would actually not mind that since my skin is already moving into the realm of oiliness. I even spray it on my body, and will continue using this product religiously.
