Stila One Step Correct ($36)

Stila advertises this product in the following way: "with green tones to neutralise redness and blemishes; lavender to counteract sallow undertones and peach to brighten and illuminate, this quickly disguises shadows and imperfections while the lightweight formula won’t clogs pores or settle into fine lines". We know, this product is loved by many of you. So we put it to the test. We believe that the whole idea of this corrector is inherently flawed. You correct certain parts of your face with a specific correcting colour-- you don't go and put all correcting colours all over yourself. Our verdict on this product is that although it actually is good for us, it will probably not fit many people. This product is designed for people who only have minimal pigmentation on the face. We personally only have some minimal redness and this corrector helps to even things out. However, we would never put it underneath the eye to correct our dark circles, because it is far too light. Overall, we would not recommend this product. However, if you have a really good even skin with minimal problems, you might want to try it. Otherwise, please spend your $36 on something else.

Stila Iridescent - Glitter & Glow Duo Chrome Liquid Eyeshadow Set (£29)

For some reason, when I was at House of Fraser in London, they sold this to me for £21-- and I didn't even have to resort to puppy eyes! Anyway, 3 mini Stila liquid eyeshadows, glitter format. I don't put them on any glitter primer, and it works just fine. The colours are, however, not super eye-popping-- they are all toppers, but more gentle ones (not those where one can see you from a mile). It is often more difficult to get product onto the brush, since they are smaller than the normal size, but I am managing. Overall, I don't regret the purchase. But I can't say I would recommend it.

Stila Shimmer & Glow Eye Shadow in Vivid Smoky Quartz ($24, limited edition shade)

Stila is very much known for their liquid eye shadows, especially the topper colours. I personally wanted to try a brown colour, so I bought this shade. A quick description of the Shimmer & Glow Eye Shadow: "The pearl-packed translucent base offers versatile wear.  Apply a sheer layer for day or an added layer for nighttime drama.  A truly unique formula - over 40% water gives a barely-there, refreshing feel and smooth color laydown.  The non-tacky, non-transfer, adhesive base means minimal fallout - no primer needed!" It is actually a good formula. No fall out when it dries down, long-wearing. Unfortunately, the colour is not mine, but worry not, my mum has made her claim on it already.
