Pixi Collagen Tonic (250ml for £18)

With Acacia Collagen and peptides to "volumise" your skin. Can someone please explain why this word was used instead of "plumping"? Anyway, collagen doesn't penetrate the skin when applied topically, it stays on top of the skin. Bottom line is: the toner is basic and I cannot even justify its existence.

Pixi Glow Mist (80ml for £16, or $15 in the States -- weird, how it is cheaper in the States)

I live in an extremely dry climate, and spraying things on my face during the day is an absolute must (especially in winter). Many sprays are just thermal water based, which are hydrating, but not for long. Pixi, on the other hand, went a notch higher. They decided to do a spray with more than 10 natural oils, propolis, aloe and fruit extracts. It's absolutely great! Like, hands down for Pixi for making a good product (doesn't happen too often, unfortunately, but this time, they excelled). My face thanks you.

Pixi Rose Tonic (100ml for £10, bigger size available)

Alcohol-free watery rose-based toner. Smells rosy. Infused with elderflower to tone skin, minimise redness and refresh. Extremely basic. For that price, you can get a Korean toner in full size which will be more interesting. Benefits: it's pink. I could only recommend this to teenagers who are just getting into skincare. You can do better, otherwise.

Pixi DetoxifEYE eye patches (30 pairs, £22)

Hyaluronic acid and caffeine smooths and depuffs, aiding in reducing dark circles, while hydrogel patches infuse the delicate eye area with hydration. We have personally not seen much depuffing, but we have seen a soothing and hydrating effect. They are very similar to Kocostar Eye Patches. Both products are actually made in Korea. Also, similarly to Kocostar, they are soaked, and hence can slide off (albeit less than the Kocostar ones).

Pixi Collagen Eye Serum ($24)

For this price, you get 25ml of product, which is actually a good deal. This serum is supposed to plump, hydrate and brighten, preserving youthful looking skin. It is of a gel consistency, and spreads easily. Doesn't destroy eye concealer as it absorbs fast. With Acacia collagen, hyaluronic acid and adenosine. Since this is a serum, we apply it before an eye cream. Honestly though, we haven't seen much of an effect yet. Yes, it does hydrate, but because it absorbs fast, it doesn't feel like long-lasting hydration. We personally have seen better products for the under-eye area.

Pixi Vitamin-C Tonic (250ml for £18)

Let me just put it out there: I am a bit suspicious of Pixi skincare. I have the Collagen Eye Serum, which doesn't do anything, so I was very sceptical to try anything else. But how could I resist the yellow Vitamin C toner? I simply could not (there is something about yellow that inadvertently attracts me). You will not believe this, but I was very much looking forward to coming back from my trip and being reunited with this product. This toner is actually very good. It is a brightening one, and does that really well. I also enjoy the grapefruit smell. Overall, this product is giving me hope that Pixi might have good products in their skincare range (I have both the Glycolic acid and rose toners, but they stay unopened for now).

PIXI by Petra Lid Lovelies ($22)

18 shades. Soft silky eye shades in a natural mineral formula. Warm toned. Tiny pan sizes. Honestly, the formula is nice and soft, but what you see in the pan is not what you get on your eyelid. I had to use the darkest colours, and they were not dark at all on the lids. Overall, quite a disappointing palette for me. This palette is great for people who are just getting into makeup and want to look natural. But that ain't me.
