Biotherm Biosource Softening Foaming Cream Cleanser Dry Skin (150ml for $24)

I bought this one half-price, so I think I found a great bargain. I think this cleanser is very good. It might feel slightly stripping, but it doesn't leave your skin squeaky clean-- just right before that. It leaves it very clean. For Biotherm, It's not a bad price even at $24, however, in Sweden, about 70% of online stores retail it at around $17. Yes, more expensive than a Korean cleanser, but definitely not bad for Biotherm.

Biotherm Lait Corporel Body Milk (400ml for ca. $18)

Quick description: the body lotion/milk "strengthens the natural protection of the skin, penetrating immediately without greasy effect. The skin is soft, silky and regains its natural elasticity. Thanks to the citrus essences, it lets a pleasant scent on your skin". Fast absorbing. I don't particularly like body lotions or body milks-- they normally dry too fast and don't leave your skin hydrated. Not this one. The skin felt soft and hydrated in the morning, 10 hours after putting it on. So, if you don't like body butters and creams, this is a good one.

Biotherm Biomains Age Delaying Hand & Nail Treatment (100ml at £17)

Biotherm says that this is a "multi-performance treatment for hands that reinforces the skin's barrier function with hydrating agents and vitamin F. Regular use helps fight the appearance of signs of aging and brown spots thanks to UV filters (SPF 4) combined with an anti–free radical system. Strengthens regularly-massaged nails with rich D-Panthenol formula". Now, we have not been using this cream for long enough to confirm or deny the anti-aging claims. We will just assess it on its hydrating properties. And they are average. It is a light cream, absorbs fast, and in 3 hours, your hands feel dry again. Now, again, we do live in a dry climate, so we do need more. A lot more.

Biotherm Biosource Purifying Foaming Cleanser (150ml for ca €20)

Yes, it is not the cheapest face cleanser on the market, but it is very good. It says that it is designed for normal to combination skins, but I actually think that it is soft and gentle enough for dry skins as well. Just because you have dry skin doesn't mean you can't handle a good through cleanser. The colour of this is milky-minty, and it is more of a cream/lotion. I find it very gentle, and yes, it does foam a bit (not too much). Your skin does feel clean afterwards, something I didn't feel after Trilogy's Rosehip Cleanser, unfortunately. I can't fault this product, I liked it so much that I already used it up.

Biotherm Cleansing Shower Milk (200ml for £16.25)

I mean, I get it, Biotherm felt like creating this product was so necessary. But it's not. Even for half of the price, I would still find it too expensive. According to the brand, it is "soap-free and enriched in super fatty agents, its texture protects and gently cleanses the skin, letting a light and pleasant perfume on the skin". Mild citrus smell. It emulsifies well. Did I get a soft hydrated skin after it? No, not really. Plus, the price cannot be justified.

Product review:

Biotherm Blue Therapy Cream in Oil (30ml, 50ml and 75ml)

The 30ml jar costs around $30, which is actually pretty okay. It is a daycream for dry skin. "The cream consists of a combination of vegetable oils, rich in Omega 3 and 6 as well as effective Sea Sugar and Algae extracts. Formulated to reduce the visibility of aging signs by strengthening the skin barrier and moisturize dry skin. Cream-In-Oil daycream has a light, fresh texture that is quickly absorbed into the skin". The cream is a bit more liquidy but it is super rich. However, I personally do not recommend it as a day cream. It didn't absorb that fast into the skin as day cream normally would. It is a bit heavy as a day cream, but works beautifully as a night cream. The skin in the morning feels very nice and soft.

Biotherm Life Plankton Essence (full size 125ml for £50)

I must say, this is an interesting essence and I have enjoyed using it. It is truly something between water and a serum. So, what is that Plankton? It's actually a micro-organism found in thermal waters in the French Pyrenees. It is responsible for rejuvenation. Now, of course, I didn't miraculously start to look younger after using it for a week. But I found it hydrating. The liquid could be "misinterpreted" as a bi-phase one, but it isn't. However, you still need to shake it before use. Overall, a very interesting essence worth trying. However, the smell is a bit "thermal".

Biotherm Biocils Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (€25 for full-size)

Biotherm: "This gentle, fluid, two-phased formula quickly dissolves waterproof makeup while gently cleansing the eye area, leaving the skin feeling soft. With two phases, the formula quickly removes residue and even resistant makeup while leaving skin feeling soft and looking rested. Waterproof, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers". When I first tried it, I was left very disappointed, however, I didn't see it was a bi-phase (due to the packaging), and forgot to shake it. However, the second time around, I became wiser, and realised of its bi-phase nature. It works great. Removes mascara almost completely. However, it's too expensive. If you want to spend more money than necessary, buy it. This product is great. However, I believe that the same result can also be achieved with bi-phase removers that are half the price of this one.

Biotherm Biosource Total Renew Oil Cleanser (200ml for $29)

Remember how I took the smaller travel size pieces of Biotherm products to a short trip? Well, long-story short, everything performed well, but this oil cleanser was actually really great. This product is oil based at first, which is the perfect tool to remove makeup. When it comes in contact with water, it transfers into a foam, which cleanses your skin deeply. However, I still used a gel cleanser after that. What I liked the most is that it is economical-- you don't need much, and it does remove all the eye makeup. Overall, this is a great product.
