Medik8 Crystal Retinal

Yes, yes, you probably guessed right -- I am going to talk about the Crystal Retinal. I have started using mine 8 months ago, so I think, after such a long time, a review is not only warranted, but necessary. As you probably know, it has 4 strengths, which is smart, because you don't want to start with a "heavy load" -- you want to build it up. I started with 6 (because I am not new to Vitamin A) and then, once finished, moved up to 10. I had high hopes, since many people seem to regard it as their holy grail product. Right now, after 8 months of consistent use, I no longer have such hopes. I understood that this product will never be my holy grail, and I am okay with it. It's not like there isn't an abundance of Vitamin A products on the market. When I apply it, my skin does purge a bit, so I guess, I can't call it completely useless. But I expect purging to happen within the first month or two, not 8 months down the line. But whatever. If purging came with solid skin improvements, I would run and scream "shut up and take my money" at Medik8. But it doesn't come with that. After 8 months, I can definitely say that it doesn't really do much for my skin. Drunk Elephant's Vitamin A gave me a horrible reaction, but I could also see that my skin looked "younger", "fresher" and "bouncier" (please note, I don't advocate for DE's Serum). But here, it's nothing. So, that's that.
