Sjö Skin Happy Honey Mask (60ml for £42)

This mask has received good feedback (from the small amount I have seen), with some people going as far as to say that it is their holy grail. Now, being a patriotic Swede, I of course had to buy it.

It comes with a silicone applicator brush. The jar is made out of glass, and inside it is the mask of a creamy-apricot colour. According to Sjö, "this 6-in-1 magic mask is formulated to combat multiple skin concerns. Made with raw local honey and organic coix seeds, it leaves your skin clear, healthy and glowing.

1. Soothe and reduce redness 2. Detoxify impurities and minimize pores 3. Brighten and exfoliate 4. Repair and heal 5. Reduce imperfections and dark spots 6. Stimulate collagen and cell regeneration"

Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Well, keep dreaming. The mask is super thick-- it is virtually impossible to get a thin layer on your skin. It takes a relatively long time to put it on and it's not economical. You see the photo? That's the jar (1/3 empty) after just two applications. However, only once you start taking it off do you understand that it is just a scrub. A good scrub, but just a scrub. Yes, it evens out your skin tone temporarily. But it doesn't really hydrate nor does it really do anything else it promises. Overall, it is not for me, Sjö Skin. If I wanted just a scrub, I could have gotten one a lot cheaper.
