First Aid Beauty Anti-redness Serum (50ml for £24)
Another FAB product that doesn't disappoint. I applied a lot of it on my neck during my most recent eczema outbreak. It works FABulously. The consistency is very similar to the cream, however, so I almost feel like there is no difference. And the cream costs less, so...
FAB 5-in-1 Bouncy Mask (50ml for $38)
I actually had high expectations, especially because of the higher price tag (if you compare with other FAB products). My expectations were crushed and I was brought back to Earth. My skin looks and feels basically the same after using this mask, except the very cool feeling, which likely is the result of the added menthoxypropanediol in the formula. Yeah, this bouncy mask ain't "it" for me.
First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub (226g for $26)
I sometimes get hormonal acne outbursts on my body (chest and bum-bum) and I have always been slightly struggling. Struggle is finally over with this great product that has 10% AHA. Before hopping into the shower, I put a thin layer on affected areas, give it a few minutes to "soak" in and then wash off with circular movements in the shower. It does work!
First Aid Beauty Cleansing Body Polish with Active Charcoal (170g for ca. $25)
I was under the impression that First Aid Beauty was a relatively good brand...until I met this product. Note, Sephora US does not stock it, only Sephora Australia. I love a good body polish. If it also smells nice-- browny points. Let me ask you a question: have you ever smelled Lush Aqua Marina? If you have, how long did you have the gagging reflex for after it? If you haven't-- yeah, maybe that's for good. Basically, this polish smells very similar-- and the interesting thing is that it doesn't even have seaweed (unlike Aqua Marina). Obviously, rosemary and other leafs/seeds managed to create that disgusting smell. Unlike what the brand promises, it doesn't lather at all; it is pretty thick and it's not a strong scrub. The activated charcoal does cleanse your body, however, so there is a plus. It does something! But I don't want my body to feel like it is going through a "chemical attack" when I open the tube, so thank you, but no thank you.
First Aid Beauty (FAB) Ultra Repair Cream (56.7g for £10)
About a month ago, my mum asked me for a cream that could help her with her irritation on her upper chest area. You see, sun exposure (even with SPF), makes her skin there super red, itchy-- almost looking like a burn. I would have normally given her Lush Dream Cream, but I didn't have it on me at that particular moment. What I did have was the newly bought tub of this FAB product (which I have not tried myself yet at that time). After using this product for about 3 days, her irritation, dryness, itchiness was gone completely. I was intrigued: "can it really be such a holy grail?", I was asking while simultaneously patting myself on the back for helping my mum with her problem. I had to wait until I would start flaring up somewhere too (I suffer from mild eczema) to try it out. I didn't have to wait long. There was a slight rash on my chest/neck area and on my arms. Guess what? It works wonders! It soothes any itch immediately too. It works even better than the Dream Cream (and I thought there was nothing better than that). The oatmeal- shea butter-ceramide 3 formula is a winner making this product truly FABulous. (ps: can also be used on insect bites).
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum (full size 50ml for $38)
You might be surprised, but this is actually my first First Aid Beauty product. So, I had no idea what to expect. I will say that this product has not disappointed me. It is a good light-weight gel serum-- it feels very hydrating indeed. The serum is made out of peptides, hyaluronic acid, collagen, oatmeal and aloe vera juice. So, it's basically a very good overall serum (if you don't want to put all of these components separately onto the skin). However, for me personally, I see no reason to purchase a full size, since I have all of these things separately already.
