Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil (125ml for £21)

My apologies, this is not going to be a fun and sarcastically satisfactory review. I am just going to go straight to the point. This is what Clarins has to say about this product: the gel "transforms into an oil that melts-away every last trace of excess oil and impurities—including the heaviest make-up. Water-activates the gel into a silky milk that rinses skin clean. Soothes and nourishes with Marula Oil for optimal radiance and comfort". Although the whole transformation of the substance is interesting (not novel though), this gel does not remove "every last trace" of makeup. Nope-- still some mascara left. The brow-pomade-on-wrist test was also only 50% complete, which in my books is called a "fail". It's gentle, so it would be good for sensitive dry skins. However, this is not the best makeup remover.

Clarins Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel ($18 for 75ml)

I bought this product for $10, which isn't too bad for Clarins. Saponaria creates the foam, while moringa neutralises the effects of pollution (according to the brand). I am really enjoying this facial gel wash. A little goes a long way, and I do feel my face is properly cleansed without it being squeaky clean. It doesn't feel drying. It performed very well in removing brow pomade from my wrist, while also passing the brush test with flying colours. I have no complaints about this one (surprise, surprise!).
