Neogen Real Fresh Foam Green Tea (160g for $14 on eBay)
Alright, when it comes to foam cleansers, I am truly not a fan. The foam is often very thin and basically disappears upon contact with the face. However, not this one. I was pleasantly surprised to see a thicker foam that actually still stays "foamy" upon putting it on my face. It also cleanses very well without stripping/drying out my skin. This is my go-to cleanser for mornings. Can't fault it.
Neogen Green Tea Cleansing Stick ($22 on Soko Glam; $17 on eBay)
Why don't I like cleansing sticks to remove makeup? Well, basically the cleansing stick will then be covered in your foundation, concealer etc. A bit unhygienic, I guess. This particular stick also claims to remove makeup, while gentle green tea leaves provide exfoliation and the low pH of the product cleanses the face giving you a clean fresh look. You wet your face, turn up the product, go through with the stick across your face, lather up with your hands and then wash off. I would personally not use such a product to remove makeup: I believe in double cleansing after all. But, just for the sake of research, I put a thin layer of makeup, some mascara, blush etc. It did remove this layer perfectly, although, if you have a thicker layer of foundation on, you might want to use an oil-based balm first (although this stick is heavily oil based too). This product also contains coconut oil-- an ingredient I try to avoid for my face. But this is a personal choice because I don't want my pores to be blocked. Anyway, I like this product, it does leave the face fresh and clean-- but I mainly like using it in the mornings. It doesn't leave a squeaky clean tight feeling on the face. However, I do think that this product is expensive. If you think about it, for $20, you can get a cleanser that will last you longer than this one (I find that this one is not as economical, at least, what I can deduce from my usage pattern).
Product Review:
Neogen White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop (50ml for $35)
I personally bought this product for $19 directly from Korea, just so you know. So, what is this beauty? It is a "unique oil drop texture that combines the hydrating effects of oil and moisturizing effects of an ampoule in a one-of-a-kind formula containing precious white truffle. This serum improves dark dull skin tone while giving a glow to skin. The result? You will see a hydrated, bright, and glowing looking skin. Its hypoallergenic formula is perfect for all skin type including sensitive skin". For a serum in oil, it is indeed a one-of-a-kind formula. It is just not oily. More watery and sinks fast into the skin. Gives a immediate light healthy glow. I really enjoy this product, but now I want to test it out before my moisturiser due to its rather watery consistency. I will, of course, keep you updated!
