Juvia's Place The Saharan II eyeshadow palette
For $20, you get 9 rather big pans of eyeshadows. The colours are inspired by Morocco, and it's spices, cities and history. We absolutely love the two blue shades-- the light blue/grey one, and the blue one. The palette has both mattes, duo-chromes and metallic shades. The colours are rather distinct and unusual, but we believe that the palette is not very versatile. You can create 2 drastically different eyeshadow looks with it. Plus, we believe that this palette has one unnecessary plump colour. Overall, highly pigmented, long lasting eyeshadows at a reasonable price. The question is, do you really NEED these colours?
Juvia's Place The Warrior Eyeshadow palette ($16)
I mean, c'mon, Juvia's quality is always amazing. This the ultimate palette if you want to achieve a golden smoky eye. It has a great base colour, however, what we miss is a lighter matte transition colour. Lots of metallic shades too, so you are going to shine bright. Colour payoff is great, and so is the lasting effect. The only reason why we might not lean towards it is because of the colour range-- we prefer cool tones. Gold is more for extra occasions.
