Volition Celery Green Cream (50ml for £46, also available as 30ml)
Light watery gel-cream formula. No stickiness. Pleasant smell. But seriously, this product is nothing special. It's okay. If you have drier skins, it's meh. In winter, it will be even less suitable. Nothing exciting here, go with a Korean gel-cream instead -- they have plenty to choose from. No study backs the notion that celery juice treats acne -- just saying.
Volition Beauty Strawberry-C Brightening Serum ($42 for 30ml)
Yes, yes, I know, I made you all wait for this review, but now, it's finally here! You might have heard: strawberries are a more powerful source of Vitamin C than oranges, which, in a way, is a game changer. It's nice, for once, to not see an orange bottle when it is Vitamin C related-- instead, we see pink! This serum is supposed to brighten, hydrate and make your skin more even-toned. For that, it has the Strawberry Fruit and Seed extract; Kakadu Plum (for luminosity and redness reduction); and of course-- Hyaluronic Acid. Does it work, though? (Asking the real question here). Yes, it does. Radiance is there; hydration is there; it helps with redness reduction-- especially on old spots. It's a good product-- it doesn't sting either. Are there any negatives? Of course. I hate how tight the pump goes into the bottle. It's hard to pull it out. I don't like the slight sticky feel after application either. For that reason, I normally give myself a couple of minutes before applying the moisturiser. Don't worry, once the moisturiser is on-- stickiness goes away. But do these negatives outweigh the benefits? Definitely not. And I will probably buy another one next time I am in the States. Hopefully, my mum doesn't raid my apartment for it...
