Glossier Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream (250ml for $22)

I don't get the "Glossier hype". I mean, if I wanted to spend money on so-so products, I could find cheaper brands, right? What is it with Glossier? Is it because they are not available in all the countries so people create this sweet illusion in their minds? Or is it the lovely baby-pink packaging that attracts? I don't know, I don't know. But, let me be frank here. Out of all the Glossier products I have tried, this body cream is definitely the most enjoyable. It absorbs relatively quickly, has a pleasant not-annoying smell and hydrates well too. Fact. Another fact: it has quite a lot of mica. Now, I am not putting the cream under my eyes, so I am not freaking out. But mica is a stone (in this case, crushed then pulverised) that gives your body this pearlescent luster when you apply the product. In winter, it might not play a big role, but on a tanned summer body, that luster looks extra lush. Bottom line: it's a good product, but because of the inclusion of mica, I personally would prefer to save it until summer. In the meantime, I can use any other (cheaper) body cream.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser (60ml for ca.$9, bigger size available)

Yes, so many of you guessed right. This product is absolute rubbish, in my opinion. ABSOLUTE. If I could write it bigger, I would. My first mini bottle reeked of old lipstick, so I contacted the brand and they sent me a new one. They said it should smell mildly of roses. Wrong! It reeks...still of old lipstick with a big hint of rose. No mild smell here. Second bottle is the same disappointment as the first. Anyway, trying to not breathe through my nose, I used 3 pumps to wash my face. Skin doesn't feel clean after it whatsoever! The jelly foam doesn't foam at all (that's a matter of preference), but it just feels "blah" on my skin, and leaves my skin in a "blah" state. So yeah, no bueno.

Glossier Stretch Concealer ($18)

Do you have under-eye circles? Fine lines? Blemishes? Then, this concealer is...not for you. No, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad product, it's just useless as a concealer. Clearly designed for people with perfect skin, this product offers light not-so-buildable coverage. It settles into fine lines too, to add salt to the wound. But like I said, it's not a bad product. Why? Because I found it an alternative use. I use it as a light foundation for those days when I simply want to colour correct my skin. Because it is so hydrating, it blends well into the skin without drying it out (drier skins rejoice). However, you do have to lightly set it with powder-- otherwise, you will be looking like grease ball. I have the shade G12, which is the lightest one, and yet, I am not the palest person I know. Clearly, the shade range needs an improvement.
