Missha Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence ($55 for 150ml)

Those who love this essence and wet their panties because of their undying love, please skip this paragraph. I love the silky liquidy texture and the amazing herbal smell. That's it. Apart from hydration, I didn't see any benefits -- i.e. the anti-inflammatory properties that it allegedly has. Centella Asiatica is cheaper and more widely available in products, so I will stick to that ingredient instead.

Missha Super Aqua Ice Tear Essence (50ml for ca. $20)

Now, now, if you didn't know already, but in my opinion, Missha creates the best essences. This one is not the best, but it is still quite good albeit does not warrant a repurchase nor a real recommendation since better alternatives are available. It is made with clean glacier water (well, I do hope that it is actually "clean"), Cica extract, and some fruit extracts. Unfortunately, it has dimethicone in it too, which is not bad per se, but this is an ingredient I try to avoid. Overall, it's okay, nothing extraordinary, just hydrating.

Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist (150ml for $49 on SokoGlam or $21 on eBay from Korea)

This product is formulated with over 90% fermented yeast extract from Himalayan Purple Barley. It also contains niacinamide. It is very watery, which was my only initial concern. But don't worry, it no longer bothers me in any way -- in fact, as my first essence, I like that it is watery. The fermentation process produces amino acids and peptides that help with skin's cell renewal. A study has found that fermented yeast extract can help diminish skin aging by improving collagen synthesis. Anyway, bottom line, it's very good for the skin, and the Korean skincare industry is experimenting with this ingredient more and more. But does it really work? On my skin-- oh yes! Yes, it's nourishing and stuff, but that's not even the main awesomeness of this product. It's clear that my skin has become a lot healthier -- if something pops up, it disappears within a few days. I have actually just ordered another bottle of this potion, so, yes, it's worth repurchasing!

Missha Time Revolution Vitality Toner (150ml for $28)

What do you expect your toner to do? Do you set high expectations for it? Honestly, I rarely do. I mean, it's just a watery substance that seemingly doesn't do much apart from providing some hydration. Many dermatologists also say that toners are not necessary in the skincare routine-- but I will always use one, to their potential disappointment. This toner is supposed to gently soothe and revitalise tired, dry skin, and help with wrinkle care. What I get from this toner is hydration. That's it. A lot of hydration. But nothing else. The other "anti-ageing" claims are just marketing words, in all fairness. I personally don't like heavy glass bottles-- since I travel so much, I will never be able to take this toner with me. It's a bummer, but since this toner isn't exactly very memorable, I can absolutely survive with that fact. What's your favourite toner and why?

MISSHA Super Aqua Sleeping Mask (110ml) (Korean Beauty)

Formulated with snail mucin, Baobab Tree Extract, Centella Asiatica, this huge tub is only $23! It is great for sensitive and acne-prone skin. But it also gives dry and aging skins good firmness boost, hydration and replenishment. Natural cell regeneration occurs while you sleep. We can truly attest to the firmness effect, it is almost immediate. It is a slighter consistency, but still thick enough to feel ultra-hydrating. We apply it instead of our moisturiser. Then, we add some drops of a facial oil. We recommend this product.

MISSHA Super Aqua Ice Tear Cream (50ml) (Korean Beauty)

With Glacier Water from Patagonia, Ice Plant Water, Blue Lagoon Water (almost feels like we have been on vacation) and Spirulina, Sugar Kelp and Horsetail Kelp (3 types of sea algae). This is actually an amazing moisturiser, especially considering that it only costs $16. It is very nourishing yet light, and hydrates for a very good while without making you look greasy. It receives our full support.

Missha Real Solution Tencel Sheet Mask Propolis ($3)

The unique hive structure of propolis nourishes tired, dry skin, making it more resilient. What is propolis, you may ask? Often called "bee glue", it is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing saliva and beeswax. It's commonly used for healing and soothing the skin. The mask also contains "mucosubstances of phytomucin found in lotus roots and vegetable extracts from jicama, mallows, cauliflower, and others, work to moisturize skin and reinforce its barrier"; also soothing on the skin. Why I like it? During acne prone days, this is absolutely amazing. The red spots calm down. Everything feels healthier.
