Smashbox Photo Finish Minimize Pores (30ml)
It is an oil-free, mattifying, pore-filling retailing at $39. According to the brand, its benefits are as follows: -Dramatically reduces the look of pores; -Mattifies shine & controls oil all day; - Smoothes & preps skin for makeup; - Won't clog pores or cause breakouts; -Water-resistant, smooth-glide texture; -Leaves a soft, even finish. It is sometimes difficult to get the product out of the tub, it comes out unevenly silicony. However, you warm it up on your hand, and it becomes an even creamy texture. It's a good pore-filler, albeit it might need a bit more work to dab it into the skin (it sits a bit on top, so one needs to do it in small circular motions). Is it better than the Benefit one? Smashbox Photo Finish Reduce Redness Primer Green (full size 30ml for $39)
As you all know, Smashbox does relatively good primers. I have both the original one and the pore reducing one, and I have decided to get the 15ml of this one to see how it goes. I suffer from redness on my face, so anything green is amazing for my it. The Stila primer works well, and the Dr Jart+ Cicapair treatment is loved too. So, how did this primer perform? Well, it did not perform well at all. First of, the consistency although silky feels more oily on the skin. The redness reducing properties: minimal to non-existent. Although, the primer comes out as wasabi out of the tube, when you rub it out, the green colour completely disappears. Like, into nothing. No difference. Very dissatisfied, but at least I didn't buy the full size.
